Competition Overview

A citywide platform for student creativity and practical design learning

Categories and Competition Format

  1. The competition is divided into Secondary and Tertiary divisions.
  2. Secondary students may submit concept documents and physical prototypes at different stages.
  3. Projects are guided by experienced board game creators and publishers.
  4. Evaluation includes game design quality, educational applicability, and social value.
  5. The finals are held within the 2026 Boardgame Education & Career Planning Exhibition.
  6. Award-winning teams may receive publication and exhibition opportunities.

Eligibility

Open to full-time secondary and tertiary students in Hong Kong

1. Student Status

Participants must be full-time students (excluding master's or above). Nationality is unrestricted, but participants should reside in Hong Kong regularly.

2. Category Rules

Three categories: Secondary Group 1, Secondary Group 2, and Tertiary Group. One student cannot apply for both Secondary Group 1 and 2 at the same time.

3. Team-based Entry

Entries must be submitted as teams (single-person teams are allowed). Team members must come from the same institution.

Secondary Group 1: Concept Design

  1. Submit entry form and game rules (PPT/PPTX; text, tables, and images only).
  2. Entries must be original and unpublished.
  3. Top 8 teams advance to finals.
  4. Shortlisted teams receive consultation and prototype support.
  5. Finalists submit a video introducing their playable prototype.

  4. Top 8 teams advance to finals.
